The Lagos photo festival started on the 9th of October at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island. The event which is the second edition, was put together by African Artists' foundation in collaboration with the European Union National Institutes for Culture, Etisalat and Eko Hotels. The event serves as a soap box upon which upcoming photographers can showcase their talents and compete with established photographers. This year's festival themed 'What's next africa- The hidden stories', aims to address the misconceived notions of africa been projected across the globe through pictures. The Lagos photo festival would serve as an avenue for society to see the history of the city in pictures spanning through diffrent time frames, thus enabling people appreciate it better. The festival would also focus on social issues bothering the continent and would feature photographers such as Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Akintunde Akinyele, John Densny, Peter DiCampo, Judith Quax, George Osodi and Andrea Stultiens.
